Rascal, 04/05/2009 - 09/21/2020 cam

I love you Rascal. You were my best friend and snuggle buddy. Making the bed won't be the same without you hiding under the sheets to play "blanket monster".  I wish we had another 11 1/2 years together.  You are truly missed.

Riley,

You were my furry soulmate... I will miss our midnight cuddles, may you be running around in the doggie heavens. I’ll see you someday again... love you “puppers”

Roxanne, July 2011 - Dec. 22nd 2020 cam

Roxanne was strong, level-headed, driven, smart, responsible, athletic and clever. She preferred to do her own thing which made it so special when she chose to spend time with you. When she was a puppy we spent hours at the dog park, taking long walks and doing Red Cross training together. She was so hyper that we know she passed the exam only because of her personality and good looks, but it’s understandable because she was adorable. She was built like a racehorse with sleek, shiny fur and she had incredible muscle tone even when we were laying around in the winter. She could jump up to your chin when she was a puppy and even as an older lady she could jump up to your chest. She loved chasing kids, knocking them down  and kissing their faces. She grew up with people and learned how to be a person, so when her brother came along she was his mediator, making sure he was fed on time and that he got water when the bowl was empty. Her favorite thing in the world was walkies which she treated like resistance training. She was our little frauline, keeping everyone on track and keeping high standards. If dinner time passed by a few minutes she would knock over our flying pig doorstop or roll her bowl around the room, or turn on a kids toy. I’ll miss the sound of her grumbling when we were being annoying, I’ll miss the little tricks we came up with like her putting her paws on my chest and giving me a kiss or jumping up and putting her paws in my hands. I’ll miss curling up with her in bed and scratching under her collar, and I’ll miss looking into each other’s eyes with pure love.

Roxy was our first grandchild. Her parents got her shortly after they were married and just before her Dad deployed to Afghanistan. She kept her Mom company through that time, and when I'd visit, she'd hop into bed with me while her Mom waited up for Dad to call. She was also very close to our dog, her Aunt Sheila, who was very old, but pepped up and chased her around the house whenever she'd visit. They had a great time together when we babysat Roxy while her parents took their belated honeymoon. Both dogs are gone now, and deeply missed. We'll remember them always.
