White Guy, 01/01/89-06/16/94

A very special cat came into my life that day. I wanted a lap cat and my friend said I have a little deaf kitten who needs someone who will love her. He came into my life and fulfilled that desire. What a wonderful cat he was. He never knew he had a handicap, and loved to do so many crazy things. Every morning he would sit on the clock radio waiting for it to vibrate. That meant it was time to eat. He would rush up to me in bed and kiss me, then on the dead run go to the can opener in the kitchen. He was so smart. On sunny days he would sometimes jump on the inner tube in the swimming pool and ride around until it came to the side again and them jump off. He was so smart. When he wanted to go out and play in the pasture he would rattle the catin/cat out sign hanging from the doorknob. Look at me as if to say "Hey, can't you see I have needs?" He was such so smart. On sunny days he would run out to the pasture and find just the right tall weed. He would dig it up and bring it to me as if it were a mouse. What pride was in those beautiful blue eyes. He was too noisy you see to catch any mice. He was so smart. In the winter he would sit in the maple tree and wait for those delicious birds to come. With that bright white fur he stood out so much not a bird would come close. But that never discouraged him. He knew one day he would catch that bird. What a smart cat you were. Sadly one day you went out and didn't come home. I know you went to the pasture to hunt weeds and probably didn't see or hear the coyote that stalked you. How do you find a deaf cat. You can't call - just look. And I did for days and days. I still miss you White Guy. So does Tonto your little black friend. You raised him and took care of him when he was so sick as a kitten. Without you I don't think he would have lived. He looked for you for a long time. It has been 3 years now, and I keep your picture close to me. I have had other cats, and only one has ever meant close to as much. Sweetie Pie died 3 weeks ago today. I know that you are together at Rainbow Bridge waiting for me. Take care of her, and Sport too. He died the same day as Sweetie. You I am sure remember him. He looked alot older, but was still a sweet dog. I miss you White Guy.
