I remember when we saw you at two weeks old
I remember visiting you at four weeks old
I remember when Daddy picked you out
I remember picking you up at 5 weeks of age
I remember seeing a little black and tan baby
Cute and precious as ever
You turned into the most beautiful doberman I could have imagined
You stayed by my side
You comforted us during bad times
You read our feelings
You were always there
You never let us down
We never imagined you would be struck with illness at 4 years of age
A part of our life ended on that dreaded day of March 6th
We prayed, along with many others, you would recover
You battled for six long months until it was time to say goodbye
We did EVERYTHING in our power to save your life
We went to every length and exhausted all efforts
and lost you despite our desperate attempts
We never intended to ever say goodbye or lose you
We love and miss you more and more each day
As time goes by, it seems to get more difficult
never better
I find myself with no words to say
Our lives will never be the same
