Yanni, 1991 - 1/19/12
Yanni was a sweet 20 year old tuxedo cat who sat
by me
on the couch all the time. He was my dad's beloved cat. My dad
passed in
2005. Yanni had kidney failure for perhaps 4 years and I tried
to take
very good care of him. Yanni loved to sit on near you and
especially loved
to sit on your chest. He could be more than bossy when he wanted
to eat.
I'm grieved by the possibility that the water I gave him may
have gone
down the wrong way and I pray it isn't so.

October 1999
It has been almost 13 years since we've lost you--but--you
remain in our hearts and memory as though it was just yesterday
that you are still here with us. We still feel your gentle
presence and sweet personality. Dad misses his motorcycle
rides with you--oh how you loved to just hop up on his Goldwing
and take off traveling all over town with him. Now you are
resting comfortably in the backyard you loved so much--the
backyard you grew up in chasing balls and frisbees. Even the
Lebanon Lions still ask about you--you would come with us the
entire weekend as we worked at the Lebanon Country Fair.
What a big hit you were with everyone wanting to pet you--you were
such a show-off with the crowds. We hope you have found
someone with a motorcycle so you can continue riding all over the
heavens with the wind in your face. We will meet again one
day--I'm counting on it!
