Xander, 01/26/08

Our beautiful baby boy, Xander, left us after 6 months of illness, on January 26, 2008. He was the bravest boy we ever knew, and the most loving and funny greyhound. A brindle beauty who was the epitomy of strength and grace before he became ill, he was the light of our lives, and he taught us even more about grace and courage through his illness. We miss his amazing spirit for life, his wonderful antics and most of all his very being. Life is much emptier without our precious Xander. We know he is racing again, as he did when he was well, and is the fastest greyhound, running free with his greyhound sister who went before him in 2005. Run fast and free Xander and Sophie, and wait for us at the bridge. We miss you but know you are healed and happy. You will never leave our hearts. ----The Greenberg Family

Xander, 01/21/08

Xander
We found you as a stray about 4 years ago, just before Christmas, a cold, hungry stray, we took you in, got some meat on your bones and gave you a daddy--Larry--, you became Larrys best friend, and buddy, and you brought so much love and joy to his life. The two of you become one with each other.
Sadly on 1/20/08 we had to take you to be put to sleep, so around 1/21/08, you went to Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with your friend Ruccuss, who passed away 5/21/07.
Until we all meet at Rainbow Bridge, remember we love you, and Larry will never be the same without you.
You and Ruccuss go play now, have fun, and be patient, we will all be together again one day.
Love you Xander pup--
Aunt Denise

Xena, 09/30/08

Xena was a beautiful little baby who just couldn't hold on long enough to make it to the vet. She was so strong up until her final hours that her passing came as a complete surprise. The house just isn't the same without the sound of her favorite ball jingling across the floor. We love and miss her very much <3

Xena, 01/27/98-03/22/08

I was the first to hold you when you were born
and the last to hold you as you went to sleep for the last time. You were my angel on earth-my best friend-my reason to get up daily despite the pain I have. You are in my thoughts my heart my soul.
Til we are together wait for me.
your ever loving mom.

Xena, 10/19/98-08/04/08

Xena was the light of our lives.
She always greeted you at the door after a long day at work and did her best to lick you to death.
You could not stay grumpy at all. She loved to take walks and had the same stuffed animal for almost ten years.
It was missing an eye and also the nose was chewed off but she always brought it out when someone special came over.
We will miss you our beloved friend. Run and be happy!

Xena, 04/01-07/20/08

Our beloved fattie beautiful baby beagle girl died suddenly today in spite of our protection.
She was the sweetest girl, and was so very protective of us.
In spite of my initial and prolonged efforts to keep her in her "place", she bo-oowed her way into our hearts and lives, and life will not be the same without her.
She was the fourth of our family of four. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Adieu my cutie Xener Beaner girl.

Troy Hopkins

Xena, 11/27/96-04/11/08

Xena was a sweet Dober-girl with a very old soul. She came into our lives after suffering horrible abuse at the hands of her previous owners. With the help of her new sister Isobel, also a Dober-girl, she learned to run, play, chase balls, enjoy treats and wrap mommy around her paw. Xena had such a gentleness about her and could even make the most avid dog-disliker fall in love with her and want to take her home with them. She was visited yesterday by several of her friends all wishing her a good passage to her new journey. She will be very missed, but we know that she will come back to us when the time is right. We love you Xena-bug!!

Jessica

Xena Frank, 04/11/97-05/26/08

Xena touched my life in so many ways. She got a second chance in life at the age of 4 I adopted her. When I went to the Human Society I knew I wanted a female Rottweiler but wasn't expecting them to have one or me get one that day. As soon as Xena saw me she picked me and knew she wanted to go home with me. She was an alpha female so she was always challenging me to be the pack leader and I always was. Whenever I would take her to the beach or dog park people would instantly fall in love with her personality. She would steal all the dogs balls and bring them to the water hole to guard them and dunk them in the water. She would protect those balls like they were her babys. I called her Moma all the time because she had that motherly trait about her. Whenever I was down she was there to cheer me up and let me know that lifes not so bad. She loved swimming, playing ball and just being wherever I was at and I will never forget how much I loved her and she loved me.

Xenia Alexis, 01/20/96-11/06/07

My dear sweet Xenia - you were my life.
You were my first dog ever; the first being to need me.
I loved you the day I met you when you were 3 weeks old.
I smiled all the way home with you because you were mine and I loved you so very much.
You were my constant companion; you listened to all my stories, and consoled me when I was sad.
You left me too soon.
I am so sorry I did not know you were as ill as you were.
I am, however, so grateful that I was with you from the time I found you until the moment you crossed over to the bridge.
I love you always and forever Xenia.
You will always be in my heart and in my mind.
Until we meet again.
Eternal be your memory.

Mary Ann

Xray, 09/06/08

Xray,
I miss you so much. I still am crying and still look for you around the house even though I know you are not here. My heart is broken. It was so hard having to have you put to sleep. I knew you were hurting and couldn't go on.
You were such a good companion, a true friend. This is so hard. I love you so much and can't wait till I will see you again. I feel that when I die, I will see you on the other side waiting to sit on my lap. Please know how much I love and miss you.
You are forever in my heart.
